I think I haven't been writing my livejournal for a while...work is still crazy busy due to lack of people, and also due to the fact that some newcomers don't pick up very quickly - and I mean very slow. They have been in the company for nearly a year and still today ask my how to print to the plotter. I was so shocked.
So yeah, the only thing I can do is to do the work myself, since I really have no time to train them.
London has been snowing a lot since the start of this year, which is nice but not so good when the traffic stand still...
I've got a lot of presents for my birthday :) So I am very happy. I've even got Prinny plushy from Disgaea :D So cute~
It's weekend time and it's relax time. I need sleep...

I can't believe my heaters stopped working last night I went home from work. The landlord didn't answer my call or text...and the temperature is going to go down during the week. Just the right time....-_-
Fingers crossed the landlord is going to get my message today and fix it...

It has been a long time since I last updated livejournal....work is super crazy busy...since they get rid of my senior and her projects have passed onto me...
And no...I didn't get either her title or her pay for that.
This year has been rocky in teams of the economy and it will take a long time to recover.
Another two weeks to go before the Christmas holiday and I am really looking forward to it. I need a long holiday :D
Christmas presents are all done as well - all I need to do is to post the remaining Christmas Cards :D

I went to the BCFA Lunch today. Working for so long, I finally have the chance :D
It was a wonderful lunch, we were at the Dorchester and everything is beautiful. You got served like you were a princess. It is very different from the last time I went there when my friend invited me for her wedding banquet.
The only thing for me is that I have to polish up my social skills....because it's a formal dinner there are lots of talking....topic ranging from "What are you doing this Christmas?"...to..."What is your opinion on the situation on Zimbabwe?" It's a difficult thing but I guess I will get used to this...
Tomorrow we have an office party and we have to dress up a bit Gothic because of Halloween. That means I can just be myself in my gothic lolita clothes at work :D What a treat :D

I just attended my best friend's wedding and it was really beautiful. The weather was not too hot and it didn't rain when we were outside taking photos, so everything's good.
Will finally go on the plane tonight to go back home and gain back my freedom. My friends hopefully will be visiting me next year in the UK :D
As soon as I touched down I'd got to go home and unpack - then pack again for the Germany trip on Tuesday...also need to go back to the office for an hour to tidy up my desk as they have a massive layout change and I have been moved to the desk next door. I am sure it is all a mess on my desk...
My luggage seems too heavy for the plane....am scared that it will get caught...but I am bringing back lots of books......*finding a scale to weight my luggage right now*
Hopefully the plane trip won't be too bad, the weather is not very nice at the moment.
I am going to regain my freedom!!!

My friend and I went to a couple of casinos last night and we stopped at StarWorld, she said there is a nice cocktail bar there so we went there for a drink.
It was on the 18th floor in the 5-star hotel, the view wasn't as nice as I thought but nice enough to see the surroundings. The drink was really good, the waitress and waiters are all model looking, the service was good, there's even a live band.
We were lucky to sit right in front of the band, on one of these nice armchair with cushions, enjoying the drink.
All these - just for FIVE pounds!!! 10% service charge already included!!!
It was so nice, in England there will never be this kind of thing. Cocktail bar in a 5 star hotel? High up with views outside? Five pounds won't do it. Starbucks cost 3 pounds!
So I've found the really cheap things in Macau, it is the "enjoying life" things. I think we are going to another one soo :D

I am now in Macau, for 9 days, mainly for my best friend's wedding.
This time, my parents are more subtle than last time, at least they first said "You are late" when they see me before saying I am fat. Well I guess that's just how it is here.
There is so much pollution here I am not sure how anyone actually survives. Also because of the swine flu everyone is really careful about touching and things. I have also been "zapped" at the airport for the swine flu check about a thousand times before I can get out. Same in the Macau terminal.
The flight was actually quite nice. There are tubulances but not serious. Generally the time goes by quicker with the help of Family Guy and Simpsons :D
Tomorrow onwards is family stuff, that I have to do, gah..........
Oh well let's see what happened this time.

One of my good friends is getting married tomorrow :) Congratulations to her and her husband :D I will be attending the wedding...and just hoping that I can get into the dress...
I guess weddings come at the same time. One of my best friends is getting married in October, and I will be flying back for her wedding :D But for that I need a light coloured dress (I am sort of her bridesmaid - Chinese style), and she said we should all wear light coloured dress......it's so difficult to find, everything I looked is deep coloured, and there are so many colours you can't wear in a Chinese wedding...
I think it's time to go shopping soon...

The redundancy procedure is all done, ended on Thursday evening. A couple of people were made redundant. I am safe this time round.
Nearly everyone in the office hasn't slept for the week, they didn't want to tell us until the end, which is an evil way of doing things. After all this happened and seeing some of my friends leave the office, it has left a scar in my heart.
For the ones that were left behind in the office, we have to stay strong, mentally strong that is, to live with the fact that your colleagues left so you can stay in your job.
I was seriously exhausted by Friday, and actually all of us were. Went to Frieza's place for the long weekend and had lots of sleep. Felt a little bit better now but it's work time tomorrow.
Will have to see what happens afterwards.

The company did the first cut today. It was a senior from my department and that's not comforting at all. She is a single mum, saved up and bought her own house, literally just got the keys for the new house this morning - she was so happy because her son is going to start school and the area has two good schools - and then in the afternoon the bad news came.
She will be moving house tomorrow. I don't know what I should say and actually what I could say to her, she went home early today - crying. I can understand, being a single mum and holding down a full time demanding job is hard enough, to get redundant the day you got your new house key is ridiculous.
The company doesn't want to tell us who's next because we all got deadline for Friday, they are going to squeeze all the work from us first, and then tell us we won't be working next week, is the ultimate evil way of doing things.
I don't know what I think at the moment. The news will take some time to sink in, I just need to stay positive - will try to anyway.

On Friday we had an office meeting, everyone knew it wasn't a good thing since they just announced the meeting on the day, so obviously something bad is going to happen.
The company is going to begin their redundancy procedure starting Monday (that's tomorrow). We don't know how many people they are going to let go but we think it's around half. This is the worse Monday EVER so far, since they are going to announce the first batch of people tomorrow, and the rest over the next four days.
I am really stressed at the moment, and I think everyone in the company are really stressed. Losing a job at the moment is not good, since even the supermarket are not employing people to stack shelves, and that also means I can't even work in coffee shops...or in fact anywhere.
But I guess the only thing I could do is to find out about the proper procedure on redundancy and see what I could do on that. I've pretty much updated my portfolio and I just need to update my CV now.
I hope I will be able to keep my job......

Hell week is because my home internet is down, and the technical support team can't help me either. I called them last night and tried everything they can suggest to me and still not working. The broadband light is on, means that it's ok. Ethernet cable light on, so it's ok too. But the internet light is red, something must be wrong with the router?? The support team ask me to reset it but that doesn't work. We tried their master username and password - not working.
I left them my mobile number and explain that I indeed have work to go to so they can contact me on my mobile. Guess what, they call my landline and say they can't leave a message.
Fortunately I can check things at work so I am sitting here now, staying late on a Friday night to check on my internet status. Fun.
I am very very tired at the moment, I've been to Switzerland again yesterday for a meeting. Everything went well, even the flight was quite pleasant. Got lots of free chocolate on the flight (:P)
Frieza is coming back on Monday. Got a day off. Initally wanted to go to Heathrow to pick up our friends at lunch time, but they changed their flight, so they won't be arriving until dinner time, so change of plan and I will go to the airport to pick Frieza up instead.
I really hope the internet will be ok. I don't want to buy another router just because the one they sent me is not working. It really is not my problem, plus I have to buy plane tickets to go back home this month, not a lot of extra money to spend.
Oh well, at least my mobile phone is working and I can go on internet there....it will have to do for the moment.
Sigh....I guess I am those people who can't live without internet......

I have to go to Paris tomorrow for a meeting. This will be the first time I go on a meeting on my own...so I am a bit nervous. The taxi is coming to pick me up at 6:25am...........I have to try to sleep early tonight...
Frieza is going to Japan soon :D I want to go too but it's too expensive...plus I have to fly home for my best friend's wedding in October. Maybe next year I can go for a longer trip.
On another note, I am convinced that summer here is over. We are having around 13 degrees at the moment -_-

It's so hot today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were allowed to go home early but they said deadline comes first, so yeah, I am staying till later, since my house is like a sauna anyway.
I don't like tan, so I really don't like the sun....I don't like bugs and I really don't like summer. I never really like summer to start with -_-

I can't believe Michael Jackson has passed away...I was on the bus this morning and saw it on the newspaper someone was reading. I actually can't believe it at first, it's kind of a mix feeling...I was never his fans, but he is an icon. It's very sad....
These days I am surrounded by bad news...my high school teacher passed away this week of cancer.
I am hoping tomorrow will be a better day.

Tube strike started 7pm on Tuesday. Wednesday morning it's hell time. Nearly all tube lines are closed. That's London came to a halt (almost).
Normally I take the bus to work around half 8, I knew there will be chunks of people there so I woke up an hour early, got to the bus stop an hour early and the only thing I saw was people. People everywhere. I don't know where they come from!
My stop is 3 stops away from the main station so usually the bus is empty, but since there were lots of people the buses got full in 2 minutes.
It also tells me that no matter how civilise the society is, when it comes to things like this. The bigger guys will try everything to shove the weaker ones away from the bus including the women and the children. It's really disgusting and it's like their job is more important than mine, so they have to go to work instead of me.
Then there are the perverts trying to use this as an opportunity to touch other women on the bus.
England is suppossed to have gentlemen???
I am not saying I haven't seen women shoving others but mostly I saw the guys doing it, maybe because they can.
That's just in the morning.
In the evening it's even worse. I safely got to Victoria to change buses, but I walked all the way to Westminster to be able to get on a bus. Then it's the traffic jam. The bus journey usually last about 20 mins on a good day to 40 mins on a bad day. Last night it took me 3 hours.
I was so exhausted when I went home last night.
This morning I again woke up early and squeezed on the bus, luckily go to the office ok.
I am preparing the battle tonight, although they said the strike is officially off 7pm tonight, but they also said not all service will be running. Great. They strike and they don't resume normal service.
What are they striking for? More pay, less working hours, and they can't be made redundant. Great! In the middle of a recession when everyone is trying to hold down a job! Even 1/3 of their union members do not support this idea.
This is starting to get crazy.

The meeting went ok, although it's a lot of work, I am glad that we finally clear things up and do necessary adjustments on all sides. The meeting went on for ages and the clients have to book us on a later flight....so I am really exhausted at the moment.
The flight was a lot worse than the meeting -_- The way to Geneva was fine, we were on small plane, so it was expected that it won't be as stable as a 747. On the way back............we took off and then straight away tubulence, the plane went on a sharp turn trying to dodge but we have a "not-so-stable" take off. In the middle of the flight there was tubulence again, and the plane went up and down, up and down like a rollercoaster, I was so scared, I don't like sudden drop when I am on the plane, and this time it is sooooooo bad.
We finally started to land and the wind was so strong in London that the plane, once again trying to dodge the tubulence on the way down..........I am so glad that I come back alive.........-_-
I am mentally tired at the moment, not really physically, which is a bit strange.......
Might try to get some dinner...
